Silver Plating

Accu-Labs offers a variety of electrolytic silver processes for decorative and industrial electroplating applications.

Silver-plated deposits provide excellent electrical conductivity, corrosion protection, and mechanical wear resistance. Accu-Labs electrolytic silver plating processes are suitable for barrel, rack, and reel-to-reel applications and can provide deposits that range from matte to bright in appearance.

Accu-Labs SilverStar deposits meet the requirements of QQ-S-365B, Type I and II, as well as AMS 2410, 2411, and 2412.

Silverstar 2000

Accu-Labs SilverStar 2000 is an antimony-based brightener process that produces uniform, semi-bright to brilliant deposits at flexible operating parameters. The process offers high conductivity with good plate distribution and performs equally well in barrel and rack, including printed circuit and electronic connector applications.

Silverstar 2015

SilverStar 2015 deposits meet the requirements of QQ-S-365B, Type I and II, as well as AMS 2410, 2411, and 2412.

836-1 and 837-2 Tarnish Guard

Accu-Labs 836-1 and Accu-Labs 837-2 Tarnish Guard is a process developed to prevent tarnish from forming on gold, silver, brass, and imitation rhodium and will protect it from discoloration due to oxidation. Tarnish Guard is a hard, durable finish, applied with an electroplating process and is ideally suited for applications in the jewelry, electronics, and hollow ware industries where tarnish is a problem.

In many cases, Tarnish Guard can be used instead of lacquer. Tarnish Guard is a two-step operation. The first stage is electrolytic and the second stage is a soak sealer. Both of these products, Accu-Labs 836-1 and Accu-Labs 837-2, are used at room temperature.

862-I Anti-Tarnish

Accu-Labs 862-I is a neutral liquid added to rinse water to prevent tarnishing, staining, green salt formation, pit corrosion, finger marking, and spotting-out of copper and silver metals. It is ideal for use in the final rinse tank following copper or brass plating because it will preserve the freshly plated appearance for weeks, even under high humidity storage conditions. Accu-Labs 862-I does not contain chromates.

882 SilverSeal Anti-Tarnish

Accu-Labs SilverSeal 882 is an organic, post-treatment process that effectively protects silver surfaces from oxidation/tarnishing. When used as directed, SilverSeal 882 forms a thin, colorless, transparent film on the silver surface that provides resistance to corrosion.
