Accu-Labs 200 Acid Salt Activator is a powdered acid compound used prior to plating for activation of light and heavy scale removal. This activator can be used on a wide variety of metals to promote maximum adhesion and fast, uniform plating. 200 Acid Salt is especially ideal for activating dips prior to plating zinc die castings, as well as brass, copper, steel, lead, and tin-lead parts. This Acid Salt activator may also be used with electrolysis on stainless steel and high-alloy nickel steel to promote the maximum degree of adhesion for subsequent electrodeposits.

Acid Prep TM for Activation

Acid Prep TM is a unique buffered pickling and activating acid mixture that conditions the metal surface to maximize subsequent electrolytic or electroless nickel deposition. This concentrated liquid product is non-fuming and has a long bath life. Acid Prep TM has a relatively high pH and is not classified by the D.O.T. as corrosive. Although it is not as corrosive as other acid pickles, it removes rust and scale rapidly, leaving a clean and active surface for subsequent finishing.

Accu-Labs’ 958 will chemically polish nickel as well as copper and its alloys. 958 has the decided advantage over the nitric-sulfuric acid bright dips in that it is low-fuming and the transfer time from 958 to a water rinse is not as critical. Accu-Labs’ 958 does not induce passivity, and work bright dipped in 958 can go right into a plating cycle without activation.

Accu-Labs’ Dieglow 10 is a ready-to-use acid bright dip for zinc-based die castings. Dieglow 10 is used to improve and reduce the cost of pretreatment for electroplating, chromating, phosphating, and blackening. This process levels, polishes, and activates the surface of the die casting; it also removes burrs and superficial flaws, thereby producing a smooth, bright lustrous finish that in many instances rivals the appearance of a buffed casting.
One of the major benefits of this chemical polish is that it treats the entire surface of the zinc die casting uniformly. Recesses and back sides are polished and activated.
Dieglow 10 consists of a liquid acidic, chromate-free, chemical deburring and polishing agent that efficiently produces a smooth and bright finish.
